Filing a Dispute
Disputes should be a last resort after good-faith communication fails. Here is how to file one properly.
Before Filing
Try to Resolve Directly- Message the other party through the platform
- Explain your concerns clearly
- Propose a fair solution
- Give reasonable time for a response
- Check the original job description and agreed deliverables
- Review messages exchanged during the contract
- Gather relevant evidence (screenshots, files, etc.)
Filing Steps
- 1. Navigate to the Contract
- Find the contract in question
- Click "View Details"
- 2. Click "Raise Dispute"
- Available to both buyers and workers
- 3. Select a Dispute Reason
- Work not delivered
- Payment issue
- Communication breakdown
- Other
- 4. Provide Details
- Be specific about what went wrong
- Avoid emotional language
- Focus on what can be proven
- 5. Submit Evidence
- Delivered files
- Any relevant documentation
- Timeline of events
- 6. Submit the Dispute
- Click "Submit Dispute"
- Escrow funds are now locked
After Filing
- The other party is notified immediately
- They have 48 hours to submit their evidence
- The resolution team reviews the case
- You will receive updates via email and on-platform notifications
