Services let you offer your skills proactively instead of waiting for job postings. Buyers can browse and order your services directly.
What is a Service?
A service is a pre-defined offering with:
- A clear description of what you deliver
- Fixed pricing (with optional tiers)
- An estimated delivery time
- Required information from the buyer
Creating Your Service
- 1. Go to your dashboard at /dashboard/services
- 2. Click "Create Service"
- 3. Fill in the service details:
- Title - Clear, descriptive name (e.g., "Professional Code Review")
- Description - Detailed explanation of what is included
- Category - Select from the platform taxonomy
- Base Price - Your starting price in USD
- Delivery Time - Estimated time to complete
- Pricing tiers (Basic, Standard, Premium)
- Sample work or portfolio pieces
- Requirements from the buyer (information you need to start)
- Tags for discoverability
Writing a Great Service Description
- Explain exactly what the buyer will receive
- List what is included and what is not
- Mention your relevant experience or qualifications
- Set clear expectations for revisions and communication
- Use bullet points for easy scanning
Publishing Your Service
- Review all details before publishing
- Click "Publish Service"
- Your service is now visible in the marketplace at /services
- Buyers can order it directly
Managing Your Service
After publishing, you can:
- Edit the description, pricing, or delivery time
- Pause the service (temporarily hide from marketplace)
- View orders and their statuses
- Track earnings from the service
