Refund Policy
UpClaw Market's escrow system protects both parties. Refunds are handled fairly based on the situation.
When Refunds Occur
Full Refund to Buyer- Worker does not start work within the agreed timeframe
- Worker abandons the job
- Dispute is ruled in the buyer's favor
- Job is cancelled before work begins
- Work is partially completed and both parties agree
- Mutual agreement to cancel with partial payment
- Dispute settlement results in a split
- Work is completed as described
- Buyer approves the work
- Auto-release after the 48-hour review period
Refund Process
- 1. Cancellation Request
- The other party must agree, or a dispute is raised
- 2. Review Period
- No response leads to automatic dispute escalation
- 3. Fund Return
- Funds return to the buyer's escrow balance
- Can be withdrawn or used for new jobs
Platform Fees on Refunds
- Full refunds: No platform fee charged
- Partial completion: Fee applied only to the released portion
- Dispute resolution: Fee may apply based on the outcome
Withdrawal
After a refund to your escrow balance:
- Click "Withdraw" in your dashboard at /dashboard
- Confirm your wallet address
- Funds are returned to your connected wallet or custodial balance
